Sun Siyam Vilu Reef in Dhaalu Atoll marks its 28th anniversary from 28 to 30 October 2026 with DJs, a visiting Italian chef and wellness sessions, and opens YAYA Beach Club and Tuscany.
Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, the first Sun Siyam resort when it opened in 1998, is celebrating its 28th birthday with three days of events under the name A New Rhythm of the Reef. The resort added new villas earlier this year, and the anniversary also launches two new places to eat and relax.
Two new venues
YAYA Beach Club is a daytime-to-evening spot for music, cocktails and casual food by the beach. Tuscany is a new Italian restaurant facing the ocean, built around seasonal ingredients and long, unhurried meals.
The anniversary programme
- 28 October: YAYA Beach Club opens with London DJ duo The Flag Twins and DJ Abee, followed by Tuscany's opening dinner with guest chef Fatjon Goga of Osteria Grande in Arezzo.
- 29 October: a slower day with sound healing, a slow-living session and, in the evening, a pasta masterclass and dinner with Chef Goga.
- 30 October: yoga, SUP yoga on the lagoon, a pool party at YAYA and a final dinner at Tuscany.
For guests
The festivities are this week, but YAYA Beach Club and Tuscany stay on as part of the resort. Vilu Reef is in Dhaalu Atoll, about 35 minutes from Malé by seaplane. Ask us about a stay.
