The Standard, Maldives refreshes its overwater spa with a hot-and-cold circuit

The overwater spa at The Standard in Raa Atoll now has a guided contrast therapy circuit, three-day wellness journeys and an adults-only swim-up tonic bar for spa guests.

The spa at The Standard, Maldives (now billed as The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives, by Hyatt) has reorganised its menu around three themes: recovery, movement and relaxation.

What's new

  • Contrast Therapy Circuit: a guided round of steam room, sauna, cold plunge pools, cold-water buckets and warm showers, with rest areas and an infinity pool looking over the lagoon.
  • Movement: private or group yoga, guided stretching and, on request, private tennis coaching, plus the resort gym.
  • Treatments: massages, hammam rituals, scrubs, wraps, facials and sound healing, with couples' rituals too.
  • Three-day journeys: packages that mix all three themes, from the full Journey to Ultimate Bliss to a lighter Self-Discovery Journey built on group sessions.
  • Tonic Lounge: an adults-only swim-up bar serving juices, herbal infusions and tonics to guests booked on spa treatments or journeys.

For guests

Prices for the new journeys have not been published; we can ask the resort when you book. The Standard is in Raa Atoll, about 35 minutes from Malé by seaplane. Ask us about a spa-focused stay.
