Club Med Kani - Maldives

The island

Club Med Kani is a 4-star, all-inclusive family resort on the 14-hectare island of Kanifinolhu in North Malé Atoll, about 30 minutes from Velana International Airport by speedboat or 15 minutes by seaplane. It brings the classic Club Med format of sports, entertainment and kids' clubs to the Maldives, with a good house reef and colourful coral gardens.

Rooms and villas

There are 297 rooms and villas. Superior Rooms (about 28 m²), Deluxe Rooms and Club Rooms (about 32 m²) suit couples and small families; the Family Suite sleeps five; and Overwater Villas, Exclusive Collection Overwater Villas and Exclusive Collection Suites with pools offer a more premium stay.

Dining and drinks

The Vehli and Kandu restaurants, the Iru bar, the Sunset pool bar, the Kani Kravings food truck and the Manta Exclusive Collection lounge and beach bars are all covered by the all-inclusive plan.

Spa and activities

Club Med Spa, fitness classes, yoga and aqua gym sit alongside an outdoor pool, kids' clubs, padel courts, beach volleyball, badminton, bocce, a flying trapeze and a theatre. Snorkelling, kayaking, sailing and water sports are included.

Getting there

Club Med Kani - Maldives is reached from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the main international gateway to the Maldives. The speedboat transfer takes about 30 minutes, and speedboats can usually run after dark too, which helps with late arrivals. The seaplane flight takes about 15 minutes, with views over the atolls on the way. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing late in the day usually spend a night near the airport and fly on next morning. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 11:00.
