The island

Equator Village is a 3-star hotel on Gan Island in Addu City, the southernmost atoll of the Maldives, reached by a domestic flight of about 70 minutes from Malé to Gan airport, which is right on the island. Open since 1990, it is set in peaceful gardens and has a historical character linked to Gan's past as a former British base. Addu's outer reef offers excellent diving.
