JOALI BEING is a 5-star, adults-only wellbeing island on Bodufushi in Raa Atoll, about 45 minutes from Velana International Airport by seaplane. It is the Maldives' first dedicated wellbeing resort, built around four pillars: mind, skin, microbiome and energy. Its 14-hectare island has a pristine reef, an active coral restoration programme and a turtle rehabilitation sanctuary led by a resident marine biologist.
All 68 villas have private pools and butler service. The Ocean Pool Villa (about 260 m²) and Beach Pool Villa (about 503 m²) suit couples, Wellbeing Beach Pool Villas add wellness features, and two-, three- and four-bedroom villas and residences, up to about 1,700 m², sleep up to eight.
Dining follows an earth-to-table approach at FLOW and Japanese restaurant Yutori, with MOJO Bar, the SAI Tea Lounge, a wine cellar and private dining. Meal plans are bed & breakfast, half board or full board.
Each stay begins with a personal consultation. Facilities include KAASHI Hydrotherapy Hall with a Watsu pool, SEDA Sound Therapy Hall, the AKTAR herbology centre, CORE fitness centre and Areka Wellbeing Zone, plus tennis, padel, an art house, a culinary learning centre and water sports.
JOALI BEING is reached from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the main international gateway to the Maldives. The seaplane flight takes about 45 minutes, with views over the atolls on the way. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing late in the day usually spend a night near the airport and fly on next morning. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00.
