The island

Nika Island Resort & Spa is a 5-star, Italian-owned boutique resort on a 4.3-hectare island in North Ari Atoll, about 25 minutes from Velana International Airport by seaplane. It has an authentic Maldivian feel, and each villa has its own stretch of private beach. The house reef lies just metres from the sand, home to reef sharks, sea turtles and vibrant coral.

Villas

There are 43 rooms and villas. The Garden Room suits couples, Beach Villas and Deluxe Beach Villas sleep three, and Family and Deluxe Family Beach Villas sleep four. Over the water, the Water Villa suits couples and the Family Water Villa sleeps four. The Sultan Suite is the most spacious option on the beach.

Dining and drinks

Marco Polo Restaurant serves tasty, varied food on the beach, with a bar, a beach bar and 24-hour room service. Meal plans are bed & breakfast, half board or full board.

Spa and activities

The spa, a steam room and a fitness centre cover wellness, and the on-site PADI dive centre offers more than 20 dive sites nearby.

Getting there

Nika Island Resort & Spa, Maldives is reached from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the main international gateway to the Maldives. The seaplane flight takes about 25 minutes, with views over the atolls on the way. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing late in the day usually spend a night near the airport and fly on next morning. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00. We arrange the transfer with the resort and include it in your quote.
