Soneva Secret is a 5-star, all-inclusive private island in Haa Dhaalu Atoll in the far north, opened in 2024. It is about 75 minutes from Velana International Airport by seaplane, or a domestic flight and speedboat. With just 14 villas, it is one of the most private resorts in the Maldives, with an excellent reef.
All villas have private pools. One-Bedroom Beach Villas (about 448 m²) and One-Bedroom Overwater Villas sleep four, and the One-Bedroom Overwater Sea Loft, known as the Crusoe Villa (about 1,108 m²), sleeps six. The Two-Bedroom Beach Reserve (about 1,158 m²) sleeps eight, and The Castaway is a secluded overwater villa for two.
Dining is highly personal: a team of international chefs can cook many cuisines in the villa or on the beach, alongside the resort's restaurants and bar. Stays are all inclusive.
A full-service spa, an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and a kids' club sit alongside diving and snorkelling.
Soneva Secret is reached from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the main international gateway to the Maldives. The seaplane flight takes about 75 minutes, with views over the atolls on the way. The speedboat transfer takes about 60 minutes, and speedboats can usually run after dark too, which helps with late arrivals. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing late in the day usually spend a night near the airport and fly on next morning. We arrange the transfer with the resort and include it in your quote.

A Barefoot Butler arranges meals around your day, from breakfast on a private sandbank to a chef's table tasting menu or dinner at the overwater observatory.
