There are 59 overwater and island villas, from one to four bedrooms, all with private pools. Many have retractable roofs for stargazing from bed, water slides from the upper deck and glass floor panels. The 1 Bedroom Beach Hideaway (about 480 m²) and 1 Bedroom Water Reserve with Slide (about 555 m²) sleep four, and the largest Island and Water Reserves reach about 1,800 m² for up to ten.

Soneva Jani is reached from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the main international gateway to the Maldives. The seaplane flight takes about 45 minutes, with views over the atolls on the way. Some guests also take a domestic flight from Malé to Maafaru International (NMF) and continue by boat. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so guests landing late in the day usually spend a night near the airport and fly on next morning. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00.
